Several schools in Miami Lakes have received ratings based on state-standardized test scores, including Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami Lake High School, Bob Jones Middle School and Lake Okeechobee Elementary School. The education center is also in the top 10 of the state's top 50 schools, according to the Florida School Boards Association. Several Miami Lake public schools have earned top spots in the annual Florida Public School Report Card this year. According to the magazine, Miami Lake schools with the highest scores are among Florida's top 100 schools: Miami, Lakes and Educational Center, which are the only public high schools on the list of the top 100.

The ever fascinating magician Nicole Henry and her ensemble will be on stage, she is a hidden musical jewel and has already received numerous awards. Her delicate voice is inspired by musicians such as the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony.
Her father accompanied her to the recording studio and there is a song that Los Llopis can be heard rocking with Bill Haley and the Comets. Although she is known for her flair for composition and arrangement, Lamoglia's true signature is the saxophone. She has worked with jazz superstars such as Herbie Hancock and Wynton Marsalis, but she has also been a member of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and other major orchestras. Her artistic works include the U.S. National Symphony, the New Orleans Symphony and the Chicago Symphony.
Music lovers who crave a more intimate concert experience can meet at Undercover Concert, a small live music venue known for attracting national touring acts who prefer a smaller stage. Previous performers of Undercover Concert have included the Grateful Dead, John Prine and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Pianist and composer Silvano Monasterios was named "best jazz musician" in Miami in 2010 by the Miami-Dade County Music Hall of Fame. His groundbreaking work is reflected in his numerous recordings of the genre, which earned him Grammy nominations. He recorded at the then-still-standing Les Violins Dinner Club in the heart of downtown Miami, as well as at a number of other venues across the city.
Sengra (now Graham Companies) built the facility in 1962 on land previously owned by the Miami-Dade County Department of Public Works and the City of Miami in the heart of downtown Miami.
The original development, which is part of the recently designated city of Miami Lakes, has a downtown area called Main Street. It is home to Barbara Goleman High School, located in the far west of Miami - Lakes and Bob Graham Education Center - on the western lakes of Miami, and serves the surrounding communities. The Optimist Park in Miami Lake has created a lit walkway through the park, as well as a number of other amenities including an amphitheater, playgrounds, a communal garden and a playground.
